I am Darren self-proclaimed late bloomer, former plasterer turned NHS EMT, to clinical hypnotherapist.

With a knack for connecting with people from a diverse range of backgrounds, my journey has been anything but conventional. I started out in life as a Plasterer, I was happy or so I thought, as long as I had holidays and shiny things to distract me, but eventually I craved more. I started working for East Midlands Ambulance service and over time I found a real passion for the jobs that some struggled with. I excelled in supporting people with poor mental heath, I was not scared of saying the "wrong thing" or "making it worse", I spoke to my patients like people, with empathy not sympathy, and I respected that their situation did not define them as a person. 

I left the ambulance service a couple of years ago to further pursue a career in mental health services. Having studied person centered counselling and hypnotherapy, I am working towards my graduate degree in counselling and Psychology.
